SUMMARY:KMS Tools Charity BBQ in Support of SOS Prairie Rescue
DESCRIPTION:Grab a Smokie. Support the Cats!\nWe’re heading back to KMS Tools for another charity BBQ in support of SOS Prairie Rescue! \nJoin us on Thursday\, November 5\, 2026 for a freshly grilled smokie by donation. Whether you’re stopping in to shop\, working nearby\, or simply looking for an excuse to grab lunch\, we’d love to see you. \nSOS Prairie Rescue is currently closed to new intakes as we work to rebuild our resources and manage the costs of caring for cats already in our foster network. Your support helps us continue providing food\, veterinary treatment\, and everyday care while we work toward reopening intake. \nA big thank you to KMS Tools for continuing to welcome SOS and support our rescue efforts. \nVolunteers Needed!\nWe’re looking for volunteers to help with the BBQ. If you can spare a few hours\, we’d love to have you join us. \nSign up for a volunteer shift \nLocation: KMS Tools\, Ave F in Saskatoon\nDate: Thursday\, November 5\, 2026\nAdmission: Free; smokies by donation.

SUMMARY:Warman Adoption Event
DESCRIPTION:Come meet some of SOS Prairie Rescue’s adoptable cats at Pet Valu Warman! \nWe’re also bringing back The Cat Tax. It’s our playful\, entirely voluntary way to help the cats: stop by to admire our adoptable faces\, and if you’d like to contribute\, pick up a little something for their friends in foster care. \nOur first Cat Tax at Pet Valu Market Mall in October collected an incredible 1\,000 lbs of cat litter. This time\, we’re focusing on dry kibble and wet cat food. Litter and monetary donations are always welcome\, too. \nWith SOS currently closed to new intakes\, these donations will help restock our foster homes as we work toward welcoming more cats into care. \nAdmission is free. Donations are optional. Come meet the cats and say hello! \nThinking of adopting? Pre-applications encouraged! https://sosprairierescue.com/adoption-process/

SUMMARY:SOS Storage Rescue: The Great Clean-Up
DESCRIPTION:It’s time to rescue the rescue’s storage space. And folks\, it’s going to take a village. 😅 \nWe’ve been incredibly fortunate to have access to storage space for our supplies\, but over time\, it’s become a bit of a dumping ground. Somewhere in there are perfectly useful supplies\, things we no longer need\, items that could find new homes through a garage sale or donation\, and probably a few things that should’ve gone to the dump a long time ago. \nOur core team is stretched pretty thin\, and this is one of those jobs that’s simply too big to tackle with the hands we have available. \nWe’re looking for organizers\, sorters\, movers\, heavy lifters\, and anyone who enjoys turning chaos into something functional. Whether you’re great at deciding what stays and what goes\, or you’re happy to haul things up and down stairs\, we have a job for you! \nThe mission? Sort\, organize\, purge\, rearrange\, and hopefully reclaim a space that actually works for us. The more hands we have\, the faster we can get it done. \nA few things to know: \n\n📅 Saturday\, November 14\, starting at 10 AM\n📍 SOS storage location\, 105 Melville Street\, Saskatoon\n🚗 Access via Lorne Avenue ONLY. Melville Street access is closed.\n👟 Wear comfortable clothes and footwear you don’t mind getting dirty.\n💧 Bring water\, some energy\, and your best let’s get ‘er done attitude.\n🌡️ The space is mostly heated\, but dress in layers.\n🪜 Stair use is required for this opportunity.\n🐈 No cat handling involved. Just a whole lot of stuff!\n\nYou don’t need rescue experience. Just a willingness to pitch in and help us bring some order back to the chaos. \nMany hands make light work\, and we’d love to see just how much we can accomplish together.
