About Us
SOS Prairie Rescue is a Saskatchewan-wide non-profit, volunteer-run organization that was founded in 2019.
We rescue cats and kittens across the province and provide them with veterinary care and rehabilitation necessary for adoption into loving homes. We feel strongly that education is the key to success in addressing the severe cat overpopulation in the province. We want to help educate the public on the importance of spay/neutering their pets, responsible pet care, as well as responsible stray/feral cat care.
We strive to provide quality care for cats of all forms across Saskatchewan through fostering, adoption, education and TRNM.
Meet the Team
-
ASHLYN
Ashlyn is the President of SOS, our vetting coordinator, and foster support guide. She is everywhere within the rescue and there is no way SOS would operate like it does without her! During her tenure she’s implemented a new website, many guiding protocols and a new organizational tool to manage our cat intakes, fosters and adoptions.
-
CHANTEL
Chantel is one of the co-founders of SOS and one of the biggest contributors for the rescue! Without her, SOS would be lost. She handles the finances, maintains the website, creates all those cute “Adopt-me’s” and so much more behind the scenes!
-
MAAIKE
Maaike is another one of the board members that makes SOS possible! Maaike is our inventory goddess. She manages our seacan full of supplies and helps connect foster with what they need. She is so passionate and is always right there to help figure out what is going on with our kitties!
-
CHELSEY
Chelsey is one of our members who helps make all the tough decisions, and with her business background, helps us in so many other ways! Chelsey owns and operates Regina’s very popular Excalipurr Cat Cafe.
-
Sydney
Sydney is the Vice-President of SOS. She can be found coordinating fosters, setting up adoption events and her new found specialty, cleaning up poopy kittens.
Our board is made up of a group of passionate volunteers who work tirelessly in our spare time to rescue cats in the province of Saskatchewan. As a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, our mission is to provide a no-kill, foster-based, and community funded approach to cat rescue and rehabilitation.
“With a deep commitment to animal welfare, our dedicated team is making a difference in the lives of countless felines in need.”
