Chunk came into foster care on a -40 day, not his first but most importantly his last day being outside in survival mode. He spent about 3 days hiding in a box and then 3 days on the rafter of our ceiling. It took some effort to get him comfortable around people and it will take some time to adjust in a new environment. He was really grateful to have his best friend Fluff near by for comfort and company. He has made great friends with the resident cat here and is now curious about meeting other fosters in the home.

Chunk really started to show this very gentle, young and sweet personality as he found safety and comfort in his indoor home. He's a very chatting guy chirping and mewing throughout the house, particularly near meal times. He's initiating affection now by rubbing against your leg, sitting at your feet and leaning into pets. He's still uncomfortable with being picked up and held or kissed on the head, we're working on it! If placed on the couch, he will cozy up near you but prefers to be lounging in the sunbeams hoping you'll come to him for quality time. His foster friends are showing him the joy of play, oh how he loves to wrestle and chase all kinds of toys!

He continues to blossom each day and its been the most rewarding journey watching this timid outdoor cat become a member of the foster family. He has great potential to be a loving family member in his forever home.
