Tuna came to us from dire conditions, where she raised and cared for her 6 kittens. They’re a hearty bunch and a true testament to a mothers love. With her babies weaned and off for further socialization it’s Tuna’s time to shine.
It’s obvious Tuna was owned at some point in her life and either found herself lost or abandoned. Whatever the case, one mans trash is another mans TREASURE. She is exactly that. She is a rambunctious girl, full of wonder, curiosity and spunk. She’d make a great addition to any family.
During Tuna’s time outdoors she contracted feline leukemia. It is a virus that attacks a cats immune system and ultimately can lead to a shortened life. At this time Tuna is a healthy girl with lots of spoiled life left to life. Adopting a cat FeLV positive is not much different than adopting a cat that is negative. We recommend nutritious food, regular vet visits and a low stress environment. It is also recommended that + and - cats do not live together. FeLV is only transmissible between cats. No other animals are affected.
