Calypso came to SOS Prairie Rescue from a rural property near Davidson, where kind property owners were working to bring an ever-growing cat population under control. While life outdoors was all she had ever known, Calypso is discovering that indoor life has some pretty wonderful perks.

She may be a little reserved at first, but she's already making steady progress. Calypso is becoming comfortable sharing her space with her foster family, happily lounging out in the open, watching the world around her, and quietly taking it all in. Each day brings a little more confidence.

Like many cats who haven't had much one-on-one attention, Calypso simply needs time to learn that people are safe. Once she trusts her caregiver, we think it's going to be pure magic.

Calypso also gains confidence from other cats, so she'd likely enjoy a home with a friendly feline companion who can show her the ropes.

We're excited to continue watching her blossom and will update her profile as we learn more about her personality. In the meantime, Calypso is ready for someone willing to be part of the most rewarding chapter of her story.
