Looking for a cat who has perfected the art of companionship? Meet Mavis.
Playful, gentle, cuddly, easy-going, and friendly—Mavis is the whole package wrapped up in a soft, purring bundle.
Mavis came into SOS care in January after being surrendered in south-central Saskatchewan. Shortly after arriving, she found herself facing some unexpected health challenges. The stress of such a big life change, combined with chronic inflammation, landed her in hospital and required specialized care during her recovery. But Mavis is nothing if not resilient. With plenty of love, patience, and determination, she bounced back beautifully.
Now feeling better than ever, Mavis has fully embraced life. While she may be around 9–10 years old, don’t tell her that. This girl is full of personality, spunk, and just enough mischief to keep things entertaining. She’ll happily supervise your daily activities, remind you when it’s time for cuddles, and ensure no lap goes unused.
To help her feel her best, Mavis also received a dental cleaning and extractions while in care, leaving her healthy, comfortable, and ready for her forever home.
Mavis gets along well with other cats and would make an exceptional snuggle companion. She is unknown with dogs. Because she appreciates a quieter lifestyle, we feel she would do best in a lower-key home without young children.
As for her culinary preferences? Mavis considers herself somewhat of a food critic. Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers is currently her gold standard. She’ll sample other canned foods from time to time, but if they don’t meet her expectations, she’ll simply fill up on kibble and move on with her day.
Sweet, cheeky, affectionate, and endlessly lovable, Mavis has overcome a lot and is now ready to enjoy the spoiled life she deserves.
