If you’re looking for a quiet companion who will happily keep you company through lazy afternoons and cozy evenings, Oak may just be your perfect match.
This handsome orange gentleman is the definition of easygoing. Calm, affectionate, and incredibly sweet, Oak loves lounging beside his people, soaking up gentle pets, and simply being near those he loves. He’s not demanding—he’s just content to share your space, whether you’re reading a book, watching TV, or enjoying a peaceful afternoon at home.
When he’s feeling playful, Oak enjoys batting around string toys before settling back into one of his favourite cozy spots for a well-earned nap. He also adores the company of other cats and is currently charming his foster brother, Boosch.
Oak’s story began in one of the most heartbreaking rescues we’ve ever undertaken. In 2025, he was rescued from an overcrowded home where both the animals and the people were living in unimaginable conditions. We suspect Oak was the gentle patriarch of the family—including the famous little Mushroom Crew many of you followed.
Despite everything he’s been through, Oak has remained nothing but kind.
The only thing standing between Oak and his forever family seems to be one simple detail: he eats a prescription urinary diet.
After experiencing a partial urinary blockage shortly after coming into our care, Oak was switched to a veterinary prescription urinary food. Since then? Not a single recurrence. He’s healthy, happy, and thriving.
His special food is simply part of his routine now—a small accommodation that helps keep him feeling his very best. We know that can sound intimidating, but for the right family, it’s a very manageable commitment in exchange for years of love from an exceptional cat.
Oak has spent far too long waiting while others pass him by for something that has never slowed him down.
Could you be the family who finally sees past the food bowl and into the incredible cat waiting behind it?
