Serein and his siblings (Morrow, & Mistral) came from a small town in south Saskatchewan called Minton. A concerned resident noticed that their mom had disappeared and the kittens were alone at about 5 weeks old. All three had NO interest at that time in being house kittens sitting on a human lap but it is funny what a fully belly and safety can do to change their minds. It took a matter of days to win them all over and next thing you know they are climbing up your leg just to be held and cuddled in closely. They joined a litter of 5 in their foster home and those kittens helped to show them how delightful being house kittens can be. Food. Toys. A soft bed. Humans to pet them and play with them. Serein has NOT looked back at being a wild cat.
Serein is often the more reserved of his siblings. He likes to observe and make sure everything is above board before he dives into their shenanigans. Like the perfect little rule following angel that he is, he is never the first to cause trouble. Every day he gets a little more brave and is now occasionally the instigator of tackle play with the others. He is slowly exploring his foster home more and braving the stairs.
Serein was named after the weather term for a fine misty/drizzle at dusk despite a clear cloudless sky. It seemed like the perfect balance of unique, mysterious, but also delicately elegant that sums up this kitten. His slightly wall-eyed vibrant large and striking blue eyes along with his chaoticly floofy long fur and gentle demeanor create a whole package that is tough not to fall instantly in love with.
Serein has been around many cats and has done well with all of them. He has been around dogs as well with no concerns. He has not been around kids but because of his nature, it is expected he would do well. Due to his young age, he should be adopted with another one of his siblings or adopted siblings (Morrow, Mistral, Home Depot, Peavey Mart, Ikea, Napa Auto Parts, or Co-op Agro).
