Meet Yossarian!

Yossarian came to SOS Prairie Rescue from a municipal shelter in Alberta after a large hoarding situation involving more than 100 cats. With limited space and strict municipal timelines, the shelter reached out in hopes that SOS could offer Yossarian and some of her colony mates the second chance they deserved.

When Yossarian first arrived, the world felt like a very big and overwhelming place. She preferred the safety of a cozy hiding spot and wasn't quite sure what to make of people.

Today, she's already come so far.

While she can still be a little shy when meeting someone new, Yossarian has discovered that people can be kind, gentle and trustworthy. Once she settles in, she happily accepts affection and enjoys spending time with the people she knows. Watching her confidence grow has been one of the most rewarding parts of her journey.

Yossarian will thrive with a family that understands she'll need a little time to adjust to a new home. Give her patience, consistency and a quiet place to settle, and you'll have the privilege of watching her blossom more each day.
