Yossarian was from a cat shelter in a small town Saskatchewan. Now she's staying with a foster to learn about home life. A foster's job is to socialize cats — to get them comfortable with being pet and cuddled, and to just feel safe around people. She's still a bit nervous. When she's in her hiding spot I can reach in and pet her for a bit. When she's out in the open and sees me, she'll run to a good hiding spot. I've fostered about 50 cats, and half of them started out like Yossarian, just scared of people, but they all eventually began to feel safe started sleeping in bed with me and cuddling me once they figured out that people are okay.
Check back for updates as we continue to work with her.
