Boyfriend didn't arrive in rescue with much except a second chance.

Found as a stray in Brabant Lake, Saskatchewan, he was brought into the care of our friends at Northern Animal Rescue Society in La Ronge before making his way to SOS Prairie Rescue. We don't know what life looked like before rescue, but when he arrived, he was thin, severely matted, and in need of a fresh start.

Today, Boyfriend is writing a very different story.

At first, he played the shy guy, quietly watching the world from a safe distance. But once he realized he could trust the people around him, his sweet personality started to shine. Now, he greets you with happy purrs and kneads the sweetest little biscuits whenever you walk into the room—or sometimes just when you glance his way.

His beautiful black coat is growing back thick, soft, and velvety, and so is his confidence.

Boyfriend is estimated to be a couple of years old, making him the perfect balance of playful and relaxed. He's left the wild kitten stage behind but still has plenty of curiosity, affection, and love to share. He'll thrive with someone who enjoys spending quality one-on-one time together and is happy to let him continue blossoming at his own pace.

He can live with other cats, but we'd recommend slow, thoughtful introductions while everyone settles in.

We may never know where Boyfriend's journey began, but we'd love to help write the chapter where he finally finds the home he's always deserved.
